i know 93max posted this but i dont know if anyone is actually reading...the 3rd geners did lose a member over the weekend due to a high speed car crash...his name on the main BBS is MiniMax and on the 3rd gen site it was MaximaDude....we decided to let a black ribbon fly on the antenna or mirrors fly to represent the tragedy...

here is the link to what Maximadude's bro wrote the other night...(it says by maximamike but it is an exact copy of the post since Matt archived the site)

thanks

lemme hang a huge white flag from my car. this is no way a sarcastic remark or joke. many have just passed around me. it's a sad tragedy. i guess what we fifth gen's can do is pinch a small peice of flat metal with a small rod attachted to it and hang a white peice of cloth on it.

Best way to show our respects?

Just what his brother said. Keep the speed on the tracks. And never, friends,NEVER speed with your friends in the car. It's horrible to loose one person in a crash, but it's unthinkable to loose 3 or 4 friends in one. I've been there... Thougts go out to his family....

I am deeply saddened by this unnessesary loss... I will light a candle at my church and have a prayer for his family and him... May God be with his family and may God also be with him through this journey...

I beg of everyone to please keep in mind the concequences of your actions and remeber no matter how small they may seem at the time the effects may be deep and long lasting... We really do not want to lose anyone else... Life is to precious to waste...

Man it kinda makes everything feel

different. I was all happy that my nitrous kit was getting installed today. To see a comrade has fallen rips at my soul and makes it all not worth it.. I never dealt with Minimax but as we all came here for a common goal and cause and I consider eveyone here as family. As difunctional as we are. and even though I can't even come to feel the loss that his family is feeling I'm going to ride for Minimax. I'm thinking we should get some stickers or something. And maybe leaving it on the track is a good Idea....

Rest in Peace.... and we're gonna hold it down for ya...

Sorry to hear it ... my condolences

That happened to an old friend of mine a couple years ago. He was doing about 95 (est. by investigators) in his '78 Firebird, lost control, and slammed into a tree and the car exploded. He had a friend in the car that he was just giving a ride to and she died too, leaving behind a 2 yr old daughter. It's unclear whether they died instantly from the impact or whether they burned to death. So sad.
