Interesting Suspension Dilemma

Jeff @ Maximum Tuning had made the discovery that I had coilovers on my 2000 GXE in the front. They're modified coilovers, as they've been on the car since I bought it in Nov 2000. They're tokico struts w/ eibach springs. What's missing is the perches. Anyone know where I can find perches so I can get my illuminas and h&r's installed?!

I'm calling them coilovers bc that's what Jeff called them. The strut bearings, dust boots, and perches have all been replaced by this one piece of equipment that is on the car now, that looks like a stock strut w. cut Eibachs. I now assume that they're coilovers, modified from a different make/model.

If it's the upper perch your looking for, go to Nissan and buy it. You'll need the upper perch, rubber isolator & a strut bearing. Make sure you have the correct strut mounts on your 2000, if the coilovers were modified, they could be from a 4th gen model which means the struts mounts also have been changed. 4th gen and 5th strut mounts are not the same.

njmax-

Are there any distinguishing marks where I can tell the difference b/w 4th and 5th gen strut mounts? Or does it need to be looked at by a pro?

Thanks for your reply!

Where the GC coilovers readily available for the 5th gen? I bought the car in Nov 2000 w/ 12k mi, and the suspension was already on it!
