Connecticut Points on Out of State Speeding Tickets
Ok. So I got pulled over for speeding in NY. Although I intend to fight the ticket in court, if I end up with the ticket, will anything happen to my CT driver's license? About a year ago, I totalled my car, and the jerk cop wrote me up for failure to keep right. Then CT sent me a warning notice telling my that I had one violation, etc... and mentioned something about driver retraining if it happens again. I was kind of pissed at the whole car thing so I threw it away. Anyway, does anyone know how CT operates? If I take driver retraining now, can I get rid of the points from the failure to keep right? I have no idea - I was looking all over the CT DMV and other sites and couldn't find any info about any of this.
NY can only suspend your liscense in NY not CT, i've gotten caught doing some crazy things in nyc and westchester, and none of it gets back to CT, and its not like i live way in state.. my liseces is outta stamford, conn.. i'd pay the ticket in ny, and that would be the end of it.. i would think..
I also live in Stamford - but I work in White Plains. In fact - I've been pulled over in NY, NJ and Missouri, and got them all taken care of by pleading to a reduced, no point charge. But I've been clean for 3 years except for this current 26 over charge.
