When ever i top out 3rd and go to **** to 4th it is like there is a block that will not let me hit 4th. Why is this? Is there anything i can do about it. It will let me shift once i slow the rpms down to about 5,800. Not before.

You're doing two things wrong.

First, you should shift at 6000 rpms when going from 3rd to 4th. You're VQ looses a ton of power after 5800rpms so there's really no point to revving it to redline in 3rd. I'm quicker at the track when shifting to 4th vs leaving it in 3rd. At 6200 rpms, my car is only making 142 fwhp vs 175 max hp at 5600 rpms. I'll let you be the judge, but you'll be slower when racing if you wind out 3rd to redline.

Second, the reason your 3-4 shift is getting hung up is because you are pulling the lever towards your leg which IS NOT GOOD. That means you are damn close to hitting 2nd gear by accident and you'll blow your motor. Try this when shifting the 3-4. Take your hand and point your thumb down and then grip the shifter. This will force you to bring the lever straight down instead of at an angle.

Thank you very much. I have been told that you would be able to answer my question by Big Texan but did not want to bother you. At the track I ran a 15.8 first run and Big Texan told me that you had said to shift 2 to 3 at about 5,800 so i did and turned a 15.2. Thanks for the advice.

Actually the shift rpms will be different for every rpm. It's hard to explain, but your torque goes down in every gear therefore forcing the upshift earlier in every gear. Try this next time you're out at the track:

1-2 6500
2-3 6200
3-4 5900-6000

Goodluck,

Dave
