Question about dynotuning....
Question about dynotuning....
i have wanted to dynotune for the longest but there was always a problem and didnt want to waste the money if i couldnt see my full potential hp. But now i dont care about that anymore, i just want my car to run at its best air/fuel ratio wise.
My question is, if i have a boost leak or a bad 02 sensor or just something that involves air or fuel, if i tuned, would it give me incorrect readings so when i do fix the problems i need to tune again? I always thought it would and it stopped me from ever tuning but if it doesnt then i'll glady tune and just fix the problems slowly....
noob question sorry but never really knew the answer to this....

Dyno tuning of a boosted vehicle typically only involves adjusting the afr for wide open throttle operation when the ecu is in open loop and the O2 sensors are not being used for determining injector pulse widths. So it doesn't matter if you change your O2 sensors later.
If you have a boost leak, then things might change after you fix the leak.
