I want to pay tribute to Araffio and his Max which is sadly not around anymore. He was an inspiration for me to derice my Max and seek uniqueness.
And certainly there are so many great guys out there who I find I great pleasure to talk to about Max.

My guess is that exact chain of events is significant for many of us ... myself included.

May be hard to believe Cheston, but it's true ... your site was the most comprehensive I knew of before I knew of forums. Thanks for that.

wow. a lot of the names are from the era when i frequented this board a lot. i must say neal has pushed me to mod my maxima the most. although i never ran a 13 NA i come within hundreths every time i goto the track. there was a time where i even pushed to be one of the first in the 13s. nowadays i am putting the most mileage on my max and have my S13 to full drift spec. i have thoughts of trading my max for an evo or sti, but this car is just too good all around. it's a ringer from the factory, has great gas mileage and still keeps most cars on the road honest! it's the most economical decision right now.

Pearl96Max (Don) for providing excellent audio knowledge and keeping the newbies and retards in check in the audio forum. And for putting together some kick *** sound systems for some great prices.

Well in terms of those influential to the community most of them have been mentioned.
But those who have been influential to MY experience with the ORGY have been a few ... I missed the good old days, the heated discussions and the old group of people:

1) YungJun ---My hommie YJ.
2) Y2KevSE --- KevinG ... where are you bro?
3) 97JaneSE --- KevinG's female counterpart!
4) Chebosto --- Man of endless info ... now pimpin' a sexy Z!
5) Russ2KSE --- People had their differences with him, but he helped me out.
6) Nabil --- How could U guys forget him? Thanks for the help back then!
7) Sprint --- Need i say more?
8) My boys reppin' Tee Dot, over in the Canada forums ... I'll never forget the wicked meets we've had in the past! (Ritchie, Eugene, Nathan ... you guys made my Maxima experience complete)
9) Shing --- One of the originals
10) SkiMax --- One of the originials
11) Anyone else that crossed paths with me and I've forgotten to mention!

My run with the ORG is coming to an end soon ... as I'll be saying bye bye to my Max soon!
Thinking about the first 2 years of my car and the orgy brings a tear to my eye ... you guys really really rocked!

<sigh> How many of the boys I hung out with on the ORG daily are still around?

Unfortunately, Im too young in the game to recognize all the above mentioned names.... but let me speak of what i know.

Sprintmax has solely influenced my being on the org. He has dedicated so much time and tylenol to the maintenance and development of this site. His passion for his Max and the Org. motivated me to see what all the fuss was about and it's threads like these that highlight the good nature of the Maxima.org community.

Loren00Miata <sold me his blower>
Mardisgrasmax <Setting the bar>

Anyway back on topic...

Hal has been a big influence on me...like it's been said before, we all want a max that fast....and some day i will be

Mardi comes in a close second, he was one of the main reasons i decided to keep the max about 3 years ago.

UncleMax- ever since i saw his car i fell in love with the OPB (ooogly pebble beige) maxes, plus i almost bought his car....

Cheston - ...he has his own smiley...

Jime - Jim is high on nitrous with factory freaks that just seem to put us in awe of the times he runs on AT maxes with very little money compared to FI...

gtr_rider - he was one of the main reasons i learned how to use photoshop, and his cache of videos is awesome too.

Sprint - i truely admire doug taking it upon himself to keep this site alive and going beyond that to make it better.

That's enough for now...

Nismo1989 (Geoff Sears, cause he was the first one I met in person)
Matt93SE,
Jeff92SE,
SteVTEC,
Oh and Matthel (Turbo95Max), he was the one I really paid attention to, he dug deep into his car after turbocharging it, taught all of us something.
Why I came back to the .org repeatedly:
All the OTer's:
Donkey, Sprint, Clee130, Bags533, Bill99GXE, esp. mzmtg for leading the .org's occasional bouts with dumbassity.

I'm very surprised nobody mentioned Bryan H. Maybe you've been gone for too long. I have to list some people too.

Bryan H, for helping me a bunch of several of my mods
Nismo87SE, has helped me countless amount of times with my track issues.
Matt B, has helped me countless amount of times
Jeff, same goes for Jeff.
96sleeper gave me the motivation to shoot for a goal for automatic Maximas
Dave B gave me a lot of motivation by hating on my track times
Jime always motivated me and was helpful whenever I asked
James92SE helped me a lot back in the day
Dmontzsta helped me a crap load back in the day too... now he's a good friend
Dirksmooth was an inspiration b/c he use to be one of the fastest VE Autos around
Craig B has helped countless amounts of times too.
Candiman (MikeVE) has helped me a lot
Kaleb at Courtesy has helped me alot too
Alot of 4th genners in SoCal that doubted my times gave me motivation to try harder.
And the entire 4dsc crew... can't leave them out!!

I wish I could think of everybody, but those are the people that stand out the most off the top of my head.

Funny, almost all the guys that influenced me aren't even on the board anymore. I've been doing this too long.

MAC-Ming, his car was always the one to set the bar. Won just about every show he entered.

jgadlage-Justin, the first guy who I ever talked to about modding my car, back in '98. Very helpful.

And of course Cheston, without his site, my car would have probably caught fire from my stupid mistakes. I had to reference it so many times when things went wrong.

I miss the good old days, things were more exciting then. Always something new, now there's so little innovation in things. I guess that's just the nature of our scene as it's matured.

First and foremost, I must give my props.

Cheston-my first supporter, gave me props when I started SWA out of my house back in the good ole 1999, and never gave up being friends (even if online, always supporting me and my business).
Sadler-same as Cheston, continuous support over the years.
Cattman-for giving me the chance to become the first retailer in the world to carry high performance products.
Jambo-without him, I would have never succeeded.
and of course, every member of Maxima.org who was a part of my extended Southwest Autoworks family, who helped me grow as a person and as a businessman. I thank you all for five wonderful years, and treating me like family here.

I agree with much of the people/companies already listed so I won't repeat them. But I'd like to add Matty as he makes it possible for 4th/5th gens to go SC long after Stillen discontinued their kits.

What about Chernmax? Absolutely awesome and tastefully modded 6th gen, which I believe is the first and only turbocharged 6th gen?

Pmohr is definitely influential in a.....er......strict teacher, head-slapping, insulting kind of way

Hahah! But thanks to him many people in the 4th generation community got problems solved that would have costed them dearly to take to a mechanic, so BRAVO!!!!!!
