Good deal if you want nothing but headaches. Plus have fun with insurance on a salvaged title. I'm sure you can get it, but not going to be the best coverage.

damn sorry if i was trying to help some ppl out with low $$ flow, headaches? li bought my car in similar shape and i changed the struts/shocks, a knock senor and cv shafts, got to change a resistor for my a/c and do some body work but i got a 96 gxe w/ 75k miles for 2k, add 1k and i have new struts, y pipe, cai, sway bar and lots of gas its gonna to my beater car after the winter

salvage title isnt that bad all it has to do is get inspected, need pics of car before repair, reciept of all parts replaced, theft recovery salvage is easiest to work with cause it never been in an accident jsut got some stuff stolen, almost always airbags since they are about 1k to replace, but u can still drive w/o then,

insurance on salvage title after inspection is non full coverage type, but if you are under 25 and live in ny full coverage is about 5k per year, as i only have liability and would have payed $2800 if i put it under my own name, and im 22 and in ct

i know salvage title cars arent the best but this particular one dont seem like its in bad shape, now if it was a 907a title then it would be hard to inspect/register, reg salvage title get put back on road all the time for 25-50% off book value, besides if ur gonna be boostign your car, somethign like this would be perfect
this thread is for somone that got 8-9k and wants a 5th gen to work on...sorry the thread suck...

well it's one thing to pick up a salvage car for $2k... but not for $8k.. you can pick up a "regular 5th gen in good condition got just a hair over $10k anymore, so to get $2000 off and still have to put that much money into immediately isn't that good of an idea. the guy's just trying to make a quick buck. he probably bought the car for 3-4k and is trying to turn it on ebay to a moron and make a mint off it.
