Cattman Coilovers -vs- Koni/Eibach
#1
Just wanted to view a couple of opinions on which is the better suspension setup. I know that Cattmans Coilovers are expensive, but also I wanted to know if this kit is adjustable both for ride height and for rebound damping. And to know if this is the ultimate suspension setup for a 4th Gen Max.??? For the money I hope it is..
My current setup involves Tokico and Eibach Sport. I feel that the Tokico struts are really designed for the stock ride height of the car. If you remove these stock springs and replace it with Eibach Sport. The vehicle drops about 1 inch then later it might drop down another 1/4 to 1/2, totaling 1 1/4 drop. After about maybe 10k Miles the suspension seems alot weaker. I really think that suspension life under normal road conditions should last alot longer.??? I have also notice that these strut are not designed for lowered cars. People say that you should cut the strut-post enabling better travel. I don't know how true this is, but I would like to avoid that.
With respect to Koni, I was told it's far more superior versus tokico. Well my question is, are the Koni and Eibach
Sport combo better that the Cattmans Coil Overs. And which one is designed stickily for lowered cars...
Bottom line is, I refuse to go with Tockico. And willing to try something alot more durable...
Thanks..

Can't compare but the fact you can't adjust the rear Koni's easily makes the Cattman that much more appealing.
Unless you need to switch right now you might also look at the upcoming KYB offering later this year...
