gunmetal with a polished lip was what I was going for, but when the rims came they were a lot lighter than I would have liked.

if anyone knows a place around NYC that can powdercoat these gloss black for me, let me know.

The best black rims you can put on a black max are the new Axis Seven Mods in black with a polished lip. Very sick.

Now if they were 19's, i probably would hesitate. Matt, what did you pick up by the way? I'm sure it's nice. When's Charlotte's next get-together?

OK, I know this is going to sound very newbie, but can someone explain to me what a polished lip is. I probably will know what it is when it is described to me, I just am not familiar with the terminology.

take a look at post number 32. see the rim is black, and the outer rim of the wheel is what we call a lip.....and it's kinda semi chrome, but not really. it's actually shine silver, or in other words polished.......hence the name, polished lip.

Ya, me neither.......I thought I was giving a great deal. If they don't sell by the end of this auction, i'm keeping them i guess. I'm just going to get some stiffer sidewall ultra high perf. tires.

I like the look of the black on black rims. I don't think the gunmetal looks all that great with the black but that's just IMO.

Yeah. They are Rota Slipstream 16x7. They have 5 spokes. My car is always filthy, but I do need to actually take some pics.

black on black is always classy. black with gunmetal rims is also interesting. i have a 92 ve now and would like to black it out. already have the black leather. it would look menacing.

If the car looks good and the wheels flow with it, they cannot be mistaken for dirty.
