Everyone, please pray for Mike Hill (kwd2kse)'s family.

I just got off the phone with Wanda Hill, Mike's wife, and she has asked me to relay some horrible news to his friends.

Mike passed away this morning of unknown causes. Wanda awoke around 7am and found him unconscious. She called 911 and tried to perform CPR, but to no avail. At this point we don't know the actual cause of death, but honestly it doesn't matter how it happened. A great man has passed away decades too early. I'm sure the Lord has plans for him, but I just wish it was easier for the rest of us to understand.

The family hasn't had a chance to make all of the necessary arrangements yet, but I was told there will be a wake here and he will be laid to rest in Louisiana with the rest of his family. For those that are interested, please let me know I will relay all of the arrangements to you as I am made aware of them.

Everyone please keep the Hill family in your prayers.

That's horrible. I've only met him once this most recent summer but could easily tell that he was a great guy.

That's terrible. My condolences go out to his family. It's always a heart-wrenching experience to bury your kids.

Probably an aneurysm from all the G's of your front/rear BBK he enjoyed testing out so much.

So sorry to hear that. He seemed like a really nice guy. I hope his family can find a way to make it through. God bless them.

Everytime I hear of some tragedy like this, I remember how short life is and how it can be gone at anytime.

Life is too short, so enjoy everyday.

I've talked with David Warner and a few other car guys, and we've all agreed that it would be a good gesture to take a collection and send some flowers in behalf of all of the car clubs Mike was involved in.

I'll take donations at matt93SE@sbcglobal.net if you'd like to send via Paypal. anything extra over the cost of the flowers will be put into a bond or savings account for John, his youngest, who is just now 16. They will certainly be able to use the money when John gets to college.

A Wake and Memorial service will be on Thursday starting at 10am if you wish to attend. everyone who knew Mike has been invited. If you want to come, please email me and I will forward directions to you.

Thank you for the donation, Casey.

Mike's memorial service was yesterday. David Warner and myself attended from the local car clubs he was involved in. Very nice service, as far as funerals go.. I purchased a flower arrangement on behalf of all the car clubs he was involved in (Maxima.org, Houston Nissan Enthusiasts, and Z Club of Houston), and his wife thanked us all for our support.

The cost of the flowers has been covered and any more donations I receive will be sent to the Diabetes Foundation in Mike's name, as that is the family's wish for monetary donations.

Thank all of you so far that have donated. I sincerely appreciate your willingness to give of yourselves and support Mike's family in this time.

My condolences to his family. My best friend died in his sleep back in April, so I sort of know how they are feeling.

Talked to Mike's wife yesterday for a little bit.
The entire family is in therapy, but they're doing OK considering the circumstances.

She finally got word from the medical examiner.. His actual cause of death was listed as "complications to the diabetes and vascular disease"....

basically his entire body was so weak from the years of diabetes, it just shut down and he went to sleep and never woke up.
