Went out to the track for the first time today at Carlsbad raceway in Carlsbad, CA. We had a pretty cool meet, nice to see all the Maxima's amist all the imports. My best time was a 15.451 @ 98.34mph, with a 2.343 60ft and a 1.242rt. Really crowded today and I only got 4 runs in. Got 2 good runs against BrianV. Tell you what, those 5 speeds will walk down us autos anyday. Well had a great time, can't wait to do it again.

No way in hell you're running over 98mph in an auto Max with just an intake and y-pipe....sorry...
Either that is a typo or your trap speed reading was inaccurate @ the track...

 

98 mph is damn near mid to low 14's

 

He probably trapped out at 89.34. That's close to my time. 15.47 at 89.1. Mine is with cone intake only.

4th gen autos are faster to the 1/4 then 5th gen??? damn.. that sucks. either crappy tranny or that extra 32 hp is not gettin to the wheels..

Maxx-s-ter and i were fighting hard to get our front wheels to grab the asphalt...i totally need to practice launching my car off the line..can't spin my wheels like this and expect to gain any faster ET...
my best run came at the last run with a 15.216 @ 92.80mph...while maxx-s-ter pulled a 15.450 @ 91.65mph. we ran against each other for the last run and both of us ran with our left headlight popped out. it was just an idea after seeing an eclipse running without one of its headlight. the headlights came off like a snap but the battery was blocking the filter so the effect of this 'ghetto' modification was at very minimal. i saw maxx-s-ter's wheels bouncing up and down like crazy all the way thru the second gear..my car was doing almost the same thing. i hope to pull faster ET since this was my the FIRST time at the track ever!

oh, yeah, one more thing...that one track official at the carlsbad track was a complete racist and a f#$@ing redneck, i swear!!! he was one hell of a hater today!!!
