Maximas are very roomy!

Just had my car with 5 people in it for the first time last night. After dinner, I asked my friend to drive the Maxima and I sat in the back. I don't know how many of you get to see you car from the back seat (other than the teenagers ) but i never had been in it with someone else driving. This car felt huge. The perceived distance from the back seat to the dashboard is huge. You can't say that about a Jetta, or similarly priced sedans. Maybe I'll get a chauffeur.....

IIRC If you search Edmunds website, back in 2000, the Maxima was rated the largest mid-sized car at 102cubic inches of interior space. Yes, they are very roomy cars. The 2002+ Altima's took over that title with 103cubic inches of interior space.

Whenever i clean my leather seats and im sitting in the back, im amazed by how comfortable it is back there. I always get comments from my friends on how nice it is back there. Plenty of room to sleep back there, thats for sure.

Oh yeah. Whenever I work in the mornings (8am), I always go in the back seat to sleep for awhile. I sleep like a baby until the damn sun comes out and heats up the inside(my alarm). This coming for a big guy 230lbs.

Sorry, that belongs to my mom's 1996 Town Car ... talk about a car that can fit ppl (if you wanted to, you could fit 7 ppl comfotably)

I've had about 6 ppl in my car at one time (4 guys in the back), but you can fit more if you wanna push it. If you have couples, just have the girls sit on the guy's laps and you can easily have 6 in the back. Of course, for the first time in your driving life, you'll be asked NOT TO avoid the potholes

Most I've stuffed is me and 5 girls. That was good enough for me haha. But yeah it is very roomy. Yesterday i sat in the back seat for like 30min., in my garage, just relaxing and bumpin' the music...

Thats one of the reasons I chose the Max. I could sit comfortably in the rear seat and not have my knees in my chest and sit hunched over.
