How did you paint your timing chain cover? Did you take it off and paint it? How hard is it to take them off?

 

I did a motor swap a while back and painted all the parts when they were out of the car.

 

I have LeftCoast Tuning straight cut eyelids, but haven't taken pictures.... sorry. I'll edit this post later with some pics.

How many of you have painted CF parts? IMO, painting a CF part is by far the most sophisticated mod. Still, I can't decide if I'm going to paint my trunklid. Opinions? I'm thinking if the weave is perfect leave it bare. If it is flawed paint it. How many of you have slightly flawed CF parts? Anyone make a stock 4.5 gen CF rear bumper? I know the answer to that. The real question is: How many would be interested in a CF OEM styled rear bumper?

Painted the hood, if I get the CF trunklid, I may do a similar paint scheme on it. I just don't like the way the CF breaks up the lines of the taillights when unpainted.

I was speaking more to the effect of painting all of the CF. The extremely stealthy weight reduction. Throw in some major power adders and lots of CF and you've got yourself a lightweight powerful car that looks totally stock.

Shadow, I'm not saying I don't like your car. It is a fantasic looking paintjob. I've always wondered what it would look like painted on the outside of the contour. Its not my style. Again, I still think your max looks great. I love it when the boost pipes go into the fog light holes. That has a bit of a cooling effect as well doesn't it?
