A few new pics of the Tein Basic drop *56k Beware*
Been waiting for these coilovers for a month and a half. They ride great. I'm going to let it settle for a week, then readjust the spring collars, and get an alignment. I drive about 500+ miles a week, so that's plenty of time to settle.

Let me know what you think.

Yep, Tein Basics. Took me about 14 hours total labor to complete because I stripped a rear shock bolt because it was stuck like a ****, but it was worth it.

14 hrs?! holy crap thats a long time. even with a stripped bolt thats insane! i had my JICs in 1.5 hrs. BTW, enjoy the coilovers and drop it more! dont forget to get it aligned...

Hmmm... Red Wings fan in Florida? Didn't your boys from Tampa take the cup from us this year? Nice Max, fairly rare colour. Any reason why you went with the Tein Basics over other options? I've read that springs on coilovers will settle and drop you another 0.25-0.5" You might have to scrape that Max off the pavement with a spatula!

I don't like the smoked cefiros. I think the chrome ones would look better since you have chrome accents liek the door handles and grill plus you have aluminum rims. If you had darker rims I would go with smoked headlights and bumper lights.

Do the Basics have a shorter strut body so suspension travel isn't compromised when dropped that low?
Also, do the come with a replacement rear mount, or do you re-use the OEM mount?
Looks hot though

damn i wish i would have saved for a good coilover set up. Instead i got sprints and agxs which are ok but i love the way coilovers look. How much lower can they actually go? Looks good. Max+ Evos= Always pimp! keep up the sweet work!

I went with the Basics because I wanted a name I could trust. I was looking at the D2's, and decided I didn't need all the fancy dampening adjustment and stuff (even though D2's were cheaper). I only wanted height adjustment. I know my drop will settle somewhat, that's why I'm waiting to get my car aligned a bit so I can see what the coilovers do.

You do reuse the factory mounts, but I like it better that way. I believe that if I had aftermarket, the suspension would be louder. The only new stuff that's supplied for the mount assy is a spacer, and of course the top bolt for the strut body.

The collars have about 1.2 in of adjustability left.

And those telling me to go lower.....I'm gonna let them settle and then go from there.
Thanks for all the kind words and opinions guys. I'm very happy with the way my car looks right now. Now I'm working on a 5spd 01 swap, and a custom turbo kit (turbo not for a year or so). I want the sleeper look. I'm sick of people with 240 swaps telling me my car is slow.

Custommaxima.com Angel Eyes. They're custom wired. I ditched the relay, and ran my own switch.
Anyone that wants these coilovers should send Ange at Redlinemax.com an email. She sold them to me for 825 shipped. I highly reccomend them.
