I want to sell my car!!!!

What do you guys think? How much can i sell a low mileage 98 Nissan Maxima with pretty much all the N/A mods done to it. It just hit 45,000 last night. I'm in Hawaii so you guys from the mainland don't bother to give me offers cause i hate to go through all the procees of shipping my car.

Thanks for your help.

I used to think mods increased the value of the car. But it doesn't. Those mods are a part of the car that are needed so the car will function correctly. People won't give a damn about what brand of y-pipe the car has installed, as long as it has one to run with. Same with intakes, pullies, exhaust, etc. You notice, if you go to a on line auto pricing guide like Kelly's Blue Book, NADA, or Edmunds,...they ask you the milage, the trim, the color, and options to estimate the value of the car. They never ask for what kind of mods your car has. Those variables do not apply in the market. They only hold value to the owner. Good luck on selling it..but don't expect to get more money because it's got a few mods in it.

To check prices, check NADA or KBB.

That's very good mileage, but all the mods you say you have wont help the value any.

And you asked what I think, I wouldn't do it, I wish my 4th gen had that little mileage.

Mine has 224k, but still runs good.

Just take out all the mods, sell them individually and then sell the car. You'll probably make a lot more money that way.

Trade in = butt rapage. I got offered $4900 for my 98 SE 5speed with every option(leather, sunroof, etc) with all my mods. But I ended up getting $6000 for it with stock parts on there. I had about 68k on my car.

A dealer here offered me with everything on top except the C/F hood and trunk for $8000. I probably de-mod the sucker. Don't start asking for parts yet cause i haven't decided. And remember i'm not eating all the shipping cost...if I do so.

I will gladly pay for the shipping on that trunklid. well, as long as it doesn't cost more than the $650 shipped to buy one from Paradox.

I suggest you go ahead and order from Paradox, you'll be getting a better deal since it's going to be brand new. I spent $800 shipped for the trunk lid, the shipping cost me around $200. It's used for only a few months but i'm not desperate enough to sell it at $600 and the shipping will cost me $200 and it the end i'll be getting only $400. I'd rather include sell it locally here and make $400 without the headaches of shipping it. (you know find a box to put it in, wrap it up wih bubble wrap and some newspaper and hope to make it to it's destination in one piece)

Peace
Eric
