removing tints......
#2
I'm not too sure about the defroster, but I had to remove my front tints cause they failed me at inspection for them. Anyhow I just took a razor, lowered the window, and just tried to lift the tint off of the window from the top corner. Once I had a little piece I could grap on to, it just peeled right off...Really easy, took like 5 min, if that.

spray ammonia on the tint. (use plastic to protect the other areas)
stick a black garbage bag over it to contain the ammonia.
roll car to the hot sun....bake for 30-40 min (making sure ammonia does not dry).
pull off tint by lifting a corner and SLOWLY peeling it back...spray more ammonia if you have to keep it wet.
clean up the rest of the stuck glue w/ windex and a WHITE plastic/teflon scrubbie pad.
then get some febreeze for the car because it's going to stink for a day or so.

I found this AFTER I had ruined a few of my lines in the rear defroster and removed most of the tint. The front ones aren't bad and if you follow these instructions the back shouldn't be too hard either.
