Removing Duct Tape Residue

Removing Duct Tape Residue
Well after my window regulator broke I was forced to close the window and seal it with duct. Now I have repaired the window and I would like to remove the residue left over by the tape. It is on both the paint and the glass. There is tint on the window and I want to avoid damaging either the paint or the tint. Are there any cleaning products or techniques that you guys recommend. Please help.

It'll come off, but it'll take a little time.

Raid the kitchen................
Go get the sunflower oil, soak the end of a rag and start working on the gunk.
Once the gunk is off you can use ordinary soap and water to clean the oil off the surfaces - no paint/plastic etc damage or discoloration - guaranteed!

WD-40 works great on duct tape goo, but I'm not sure how nice it is to the tint...
the sunflower oil sounds like a good shot as well.. pretty much any oil substance should work. as the goo peels off the window, the oil takes its place, then prevents the goo from sticking back on. eventually it will all come off. just be gentle and take your time.

^^^^ hehe... that stuff works on everything!! it's the best for those with a tan interior and have dirt in the little cracks... good luck with getting the goo off.
