Well there's a difference between polishing stuff and just cleaning the engine bay. Weather is pretty nasty all the time around here, but I keep the engine bay clean. Just gotta use the right detailing supplies, and plenty of time/elbow grease...

You stole my idea Mike. You make me relize how much more difficult pulling the engine is with A/C.

Edit: Cardomain is retarded.

Paul,
What happened? Did you end up blowing the motor when you were getting the detonation? Or are you doing something else?

Nice link Mike. Sorta off topic, but not...Can Optima Battery Tops be painted? I thought I've seen this before, but not sure. I'd like to get the Yellow top, but I'd like to accent my engine red along with the chrome/polish/black look soo yellow would be out of place.

Also, I know all about Optimas colored tops and each of their differences, but has anybody who was a Redtop left their lights on, radio on, etc. with engine off, and went out like an hour or so later and it started fine?

There really isn't much of a difference between the colors. Just get the color that matches your accent. It is true that the Red top isn't designed to be discharged and recharged often but I have found that doing this causes it no harm. If your running a really large system your going to need a secondary battery anyway. So get the red in the engine bay and hide a yellow in the trunk. The Redtop is the most powerful starting battery I've had. I have left my fogs on for over four hours and it cranked up with little complaint. That said painting it wouldn't be difficult but you could always tell. You will need some plasti-bond primer otherwise the paint will come right off.
