Hi guys,

Sorry if this question has been posted before, but since the search engine is temporarily disabled I can't find a good thread.

I have a 1999 Maxima door which I swaped out (existing door was in an accident) but the door handle doesn't match the other 3 doors. Does anyone have instuctions on replacing the exterior handle. I have the old door still and want to swap out the handles w/the new door I installed.

Take the interrior pannel off
Remove the plastic shielding
Remove the lock and latch rods from the handle assy
I think 2 10mm nuts hold the handle on

 

How do I remove the second 10mm bolt on the exterior door handle assembly? The bolt is out of reach for any of my tools, it’s too far in the corner. Is there a trick to gain access to the bolt?

 

Drill a hole on the inside shet metal if you have to so you can get a small socket on it.

 

or get a swivel adapter for your socket set.
