I had a '80 280ZX that had 130k on her when I got it. (the condition it was in I do not think "maintanence" was a word in their vocabulary) I drive it like I stole it every day. She was a 3spd auto(very very fun for an auto) and I buried the needle in the red going down the freeway doing 135mph with my hair on fire quite often. I took care of that motor and it gave me another 130k before the tranny crapped out on me. (didn't take care of the tranny 
) BTW, she ran stronger the day I scrapped her than when I bought her.
