We really haven't taken car of the leather in my Mom's 97 Chrysler van and my Dad's 97 Maxima and it is starting to show. The driver seat in the van looks horrible but the Maxims isn't too bad. So we bought the Lexol cleaner/conditioner kit last week and I have cleaned/conditioned both cars. The Maxima just has a few creases in it where the driver slides over to get into the car. On the van, this area is really bad and the leather has cracked in a few of them. What can I do to stop this from spreading and possibly getting it repaired? Can I get rid of the creases in the leather? For the rest of the seats, is the Lexol conditioner every 6 months good enough or do I need to it more often? Thanks.

I don't think you can get rid of the creases, but conditioning them more often would prevent them from cracking. I treat my leather seats every couple of months. Since your seats were neglected, I would treat them every couple of weeks at first.

Thanks. Its probably worth trying before taking it to a professional. I just dont want the crack to spread any further. How do I know what color leather is in the van? The kit is made for individual colors and each color has a number next to it.

They have general purpose kits and automotive kits, which has the factory leather colors. If your van's leather isn't aftermarket, chances are good that they have your color.
