i want to dye all my carpet black.... was wondering what brand of dye i should use to go about that. this is not the base carpet in the trunk, but everything else including the walls of the trunk.

i have a piece of wood on the bottom of my amps and what not and wanted to recarpet it with nice plush black carpet....was wondering if carpet would cause any static electricity problems with the amp and power breaker??? might sound ridiculous but i wanted to definately make sure before i did anything.

i died my carpets in my 97 with rit dye from cvs. mix it with water and sponge on. took a while to dry on thicker floor carpet- wont take so long on the thin wall pieces. get it all out and do it in the light though, not in the trunk so it is evenly spread.

total cost $3.50

 

i used duplicolor spray dye....available almost anywhere.

jsutter...yea, cant tell how dark it actually it is. would u say its really black in person? i can understand the flash, do u have any pix of it with no flash in sunlight???

 

its so black that you cant see in the trunk without the flash
