Shipping a Transmission

Hey Guys,
I know this isn't a thread for Maxima, but I'm interested in shipping a transmission from Zip 60177, to Littleton, CO, its a 4R70W from a Ford Explorer, and I'm trying to find the best way of shipping it? Conway looks to be like $240 which is probably way more than the guy is willing to pay for. I'm estimating its ~200 lbs, so thats how the estimate is looking.

Call around. Rates vary drastically. When I had a junk yard ship mine in via Fed Ex Freight, the bill would have been $190. Luckily though, they (companies in general) ship out ton of stuff and get corporate discount so all I paid was $90. Unfortunately, we don't have that kind of pull.

Put it on a pallet and ship it to a location with a loading dock and it will cost you much less. You can ship entire engines this way for $80-$100 across the country.

Well I did a estimate at Con-way, and It came out to be like $240, and ive done other sites and Ive never even found it really that much cheaper, and I dont think im doing it to a residential address.

edit: even roadway on their site wants like $300
