The Maxima has been known to be called a 4x4 b/c of the wheel gap. Time for you to lower it.

did the guy with the truck have some "thick" series tires like 235/70,75,80R15,16 more tire off of the rim will make it have less gap...the 2000 Maximas have 50R17

No need to worry...a lot of cars out there have a big gap...you're not alone...

luckily, I'm not one of those cars!

Fortunately, my car doesn't have any wheel gap either. I find it amusing that my Max is lower to the ground than some "sporty" cars are new from the factory. (Jetta 1.8 T, ford focus...) The car was so high off the ground in the first place that I figured a 1.2 inch drop wouldn't be that noticeable. But it is.

What's up with that? My friend's Audi A4 seems like it has a pretty sizeable gap, more than what I have now.
