wax, wax, wax...

I just spent about 7 hours last weekend getting all that winter junk off my car. Man did it look great. Now it looks like poop. All the tree and grass pollen has attatched itself to my paint. At least this weekend I won't have to spend that much time cleaning it since I spent so much time last week.

Used a full bottle of 3M Finish Restorer

yesterday. First coat of wax all winter! Soaked up the whole bottle. I think its really good stuff, no swirls, no more water spots, and the paint looks new. Took out all the minor scratches, and even got off this tar that I couldn't get off using bug and tar remover. $10 small bottle is the only drawback, since I need another one already.

proffesional

I'm getting mine done just this once professionally, the whole 9 yards. There is a lot of build-up on my car, esp tar, it's white car. I always do it myself but i need a clean canvas to start from.

yea

I waxed it last week for the 1st time, and boy do I wish I haven't done it I discovered that the front and rear bumper, along with hood and grille is covered with rock chips, dings and scratches, the car is metallic blue so it stands out pretty well. Looks like it was sprayed with white paint. but it was so gorgeous, I spent over 3 hours vacuuming, cleaning windows inside and out, washing outside, rims and then waxing. It was nice for 2 days, I noticed a layer of dust or dirt after the 1st 50 miles though, but driving after the rain, forget it, swirls and stains everywhere

Well I wax my car 1 or 2 times a month, wash it about every other day, It's black, so I gotta wash it everyday, oh and $26 for a wax, that will look ok but it is much better when you spend all day on your car. I need to do that now that I think about it.
