It has 44K miles, I got a 100K miles complete warranty (everything including the interior of the car). Yes its an automagic, but did you know manuals aren't covered under the warranty? Besides I didn't really have a choise as this car was in my price range. I got it for !5,899. I traded in my old car. They paid off my loan & applied $350 towards my new car. Yeah i know i prolly could have sold it on my own & got more but I didn't want to have to go through the hassle. I am soooo exited guys!! It has tinted windowns & a sony cd player from the prior owner. Ok so now tell me the stats on my car....hp etc....I knew all about the 3rd gens but dont know squat about the 4th gens...so can someone fill me in on this car??

Not with an automagic. The last auto 4th gen I saw tested ran 0-60 in 8.1 and 1/4 mile in 16.4.

just goes to prove that 4th gens are better .... its only a matter of time before Mikey switches to 4th gen. And he knows it

 

 

I own a 96 GXE automatic, completely stock with aluminium 15" rims. And with NO option except heated front seats and power driver seats. We bought the GXE because of financial problem we had in 1996. That thing is very rough before 40000miles, but after that, I brought it to a shop for a major maintenance:

20W50 Synthetic Mobil 1 w/ Nissan oil filter
Nissan air filter
Synthetic ATF w/ conditioner

It ran 7.4sec 0-60 and 15.7 0-400m.

That thing was so smooth running that the engine I think is better than the one on my 2K SE. I am serious, after the major maintenace, THE 96 GXE FELT MUCH SMOOTHER THAN MY CURRENT 2K SE ENGINE!

I sold it for 2k SE because the suspension on the GXE are extremely worn out after 3 years of rough use.

So congratulation on your purchase! You will be surprised of how great the 4th gen engine will run!

As I stated before, I would consider a Sterling Mist or Super Black 4th Gen or 5th Gen Sterling Mist AE. I am actually waiting until the 6th Gen comes out before I make that decision.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 3rd Gen to pieces. But if the unthinkable happened, I already have Maxima Candidates lined up.

I didnt check the date of when you got it but it may have been the same nite I got my max back, WEIRD! Havent seen you on msn but I got lots to tell you too!
There was nothing wrong with my engine! Was a busted water pump, got my car back the very next day!!! So Im on the road again, also opted not to get that black 98 SE I was telling you about...decided a home was more important than a car, since mines doing ok....I was approved!!! I move in next Friday!!!
