when I start the car it idles at 1500-1300 if I have to wait till idle time gets back to less then 1000 I'll have to wiat liek 10mins everyday. I wait like 20 seconds everyday and then I shift it out of P into R and you'll hear a pretty loud gear changing noise and a small jerk from the car.Am I hurting the car like this? and am I netural dropping the car?

I'm assuming that you have an automatic so i would say that you are not doing a neutral drop cuz the neutral comes after reverse. the only thing I could think of is that your tranny might be going cuz the same thing happened to a ford probe I used to own.....everytime I shifted into reverse it sounded like i wasn't even holding the brake and then boom the reverse gear went and I was stuck with two neutrals. I would get that checked out if I were you.

hmm

maybe you could pull the ebrake untill you're into reverse or drive, that would prevent the huge jerk coming out of park.
