Is there a spray you can get to clean the contact points? Where can I get it? How about electrical lube? Do they just help fight corrosions or is there any other benefits?

I use isopropyl alcohol. It cleans well and evaporates almost instantly, so there's no residue and no chance of a liquid/electricity problem. Also, a baking soda and water solution works well on things like battery cable connections, along with a scrub brush.

This may sound a bit strange, but it has worked for me. You can use a rubber pencil eraser to clean electrical connectors. I have tried this on small electronics (not on my car) and it seems to work. I don't know what kind of stuff is on the connectors you are trying to clean, but give it a shot. Good Luck

you can use dielectric grease or easier than that, there are sprays you can buy at any pep boys or car shop called electric connector cleaner or something obvious like that, just unplug the connector, spray both sides and reconnect
it's not more than $5 either

CRC Electronics Cleaner - you can get it at NAPA. Dielectric grease is good for keeping moisture, and the oxidation it brings, off of the terminals.
