I heard that the stock SE struts are made by Tokicos. So do you think Tokicios last long? I know for sure that the HPs lasts a life time, but do the stock SE tokicos???

Yes, the stock SE struts are tokico. I think they are pretty durable, I've had Intrax springs in mine for over two years now and they are still working fine although they have noticabley gotten a little softer. This is to be expected tho, I've ridden them pretty hard and gone over many a pothole... they've also been bouncing on 18 inch rims for almost as long.

If they are durable, then why would they get soft?

ISN'T it sucks that Tokico is making shocks at OEM quality wether than HP quality for Max?

Well, I think since you said that it is durable, than my 2k Max should be even more durable than yours!!!

They would get soft because I'm using springs that they weren't really made for. I have about 55k on my car and those springs have been in for about 80% of the time. And when I say soft I just mean not as rigid as when I just put them in... very neglegible difference.
It does suck that Tikico makes shocks with different pressure for the Max, but how else are they going to make money? They have to separate compression ratios for different markets. Also the Max isn't exactly tailored to sports car specs... the old geezers that make up the other half of the Maxima market (actually isn't it the majority?) would not be comfortable with the bumpy ride. I just think they should have included them in the SE version for the people who prefer it.

How are your Intrax springs, are they any good?
I heard they are bad in quality and tend to sag? Is that true??

is the ride soft or stiff??

Thanks
Tim

Its true, they do sag somewhat in the back... but I have a heavy a$$ system back there too, so that may contribute to the problem. Another thing that I thought was odd, and I'm not all too sure this is a really bad thing, but the bottom three coils of the front pair are always touching/really close together... I have never seen this before on lowering springs. The ride height looks pretty damm good despite a little unevenness, and quality of the ride is not too stiff, but remember this is with stock shocks so it probably feels softer than it should, you can definitly feel every little bump though. I hate to say this, but unless you are low on cash and/or a cheapa$$ (like me) I wouldn't recommend them after comparing them to the rest.
