stolen system...update... kinda

The morning of christmas eve my stereo got jacked... my two amps, sub, box, and crossovers. They took my freakin face plate and my maui jims too! anyways... while i was reinstalling some stuff... i removed the back seat. To my surprise, i found a cell phone. I had my friend charge it last night so im picking it up today. Anyways, if the cell phone belongs to one o fmy friends then i guess its just a lost cell phone, but if it belongs to someone that i dont know and never met... then i think its a hige possibility it could be the thieves.

That day, i filed a police report. Usually cases like this isnt persude because lack of any evidence. But what if...

So do you think this might lead to something? I know I will prolly have to get a subpena from the court to T-Mobile to find any info in the first place but i figure we all have ben victims at one point or another of theft (or even criminals of hahah) so I wouldn't mind seeing some retribution. Any thoughts...

btw, im not getting my hopes up but being a realist since i dont think this might go to far.

thanks
eugene

yeah, and when he out of jail in 3 months, you better watch your car and yourself. i would let it go or deal with this without the police.

they stole a lot of expensive equipment that wasnt theres, i wouldnt let that go even if they knew where I lived and such. Hopefully if they got 3 months in jail they'd learn not to do it again.

And even if the come back, it would be pretty obvious it would be them (pending on what they do), police already have info on them, they'll find them again and lock them up for twice as long, plus hefty fines. if they dont learn from that then there is a problem.

I agree, I've had a few systems stolen and would not let anyone go if I knew who did it. Keep in mind if you let them get away with it, they'll keep doing it.

The same thing happened to me. I found a cell phone in my car the day my cdplayer was stolen. I wrote down all the numbers in the phone and did a reverse number lookup on msn so that I could get the addresses. And of course the home number was in my neighborhood. The people that lived in the house claimed that someone stole the phone out of their car, didnt really believe that sh*t. The phone had some interesting numbers like his preachers number along with other stuff. But I turned everything over to the detective almost a year and a half ago and havent heard anything since. You might have to pay them a visit in the dark of the night.
Good Luck

Might want to check with this guy for your stuff. I am sure your amps and crossovers are on there somewhere.
