Alright, I got my transgo shift kit in the mail today. Open it up, 5 springs, and 4 ball bearings, some drill bits. The instructions are like, 3 photo copied pages with very vauge instructions. I have a VERY strong mechanical background, but unfortunatly, most of it is on Helicopters. I need to know, from those who have installed it, exactly how difficult it's going to be. I don't want to tear apart my tranny and then ruin something or not be able to put it back together. One of the directions says, "BY HAND< MAKE A VERY SMALL CHAMFER WITH A SHARP 7/16 DRILL BIT". That doesn't seem like a very accurate direction to me. Is this something a tranny shop should be able to install? I don't want to spend anymore money on it, or I would just buy Don's VB mod. Any helpful pointers? Thanks in Advance. Matt

Here are some of my comments from a few weeks ago.

Concerning the chamfer, all you are trying to do is to take the sharp edge off of the machined aluminum surface.
