Undo my calipers

My calipers are painted red with high temp engine paint. They just look nasty on my pearl white max. I was thinking paint thinner to show its orignal color, but that could mess up my brakes. Any ideas to get my nastyness off.

I don't have an answer for you just a suggestion. Why not just repaint them another color.
