I called them up 2 find out what their "special" open house pricing would be for some parts ....

The special pricing for a Y2K Max:

FSTB: $168 ... hmm ... I got from a dealer was $150 in Jan
RSB: $211 or $221 .. that price actually seemed really good
body kit: get this! $875!!!!!!!!!!

At the actual event, they didn't have very many Maxima parts out. I only saw 2, and I bought one of them. A brand new Stainless Steel rear exhuast section for $100. Looks soooo nice and my Max, sounds cool too. Plus it was the only thing I could afford. The only other thing I saw was some Momo Arrows with highly used tires for $400, and someone quickly bought them. Oh yeah, I think I saw a big brake kit, but it was like, $1800+. Good event though, a lot of cool cars, Hooters girls, and free food. What more could you ask for. MaximaDave won a UDP too!

 

I thought this was a total deal. When I got there at 8:30, there were 3 y-pipes, and a muffler for the Maxima. mtrai760 must have bought the muffler, me and another guy each bought a y-pipe so someone else must have gone home happy. I was really excited about the y-pipe, I've been waiting for so long to get one and I lost a lot of "bids" on this site, so I'm happy.

 

I didn't even know they had Y-pipes, I must have gotten there too late for that, congrats Kevin. I had to go out and drive my car around so I could listen to the exaust I need to quit getting mods that make me want to listen to my car, gotta keep the miles down and gas is too damn expensive.

 

Gas prices are the highest I've ever seen, more or less imagined. I remember the good old days, a year after I got my license, gas was 97 cents a gallon. Hope you like the muffler you got, I'm holding off on my b-pipe and y-pipe installation until August...my smog check is due then.

 

Well I guess I didn't miss anything much if they didn't have any 3rd gen stuff for sale.

i tried my best(?) to buy something nice for my car but i couldn't find anything for our cars at the sales. well, at least not the used parts anyway.
i was shopping for a rear strut tower bar(i know it doesn't do much for our rear beams, but heck, if it's cheap, i might as well be complete..) but they were asking $160 for it.
so i just dynoed my car. i guess the result of my dyno was phenomenal considering my car only fell short of 10 hps compared to a supercharged 5th gen..NO JOKE! that maxima had some ISSUES!!!!
i mean, that's just 10 hps for $3000!!!
(mine dynoed at 197.9hp and the sced max did around 208hp...yeah, i know..something's not right here....and it ain't mine)

 

Dude, that car had some SERIOUS ISSUES! I was listening to the tech, he kept telling the owner that his car was hot, and that they were afraid to run it all the way up. I think they were only running it up to 4k on the rpms. Some serious work needs to be done to that car man! Good run by the way, especially with just an intake.

 

and what were you going to do with the 3rd gen stuff if they had any?

 

bought the Momos.... you can't go wrong with 400 bucks...
yeah... I know I need some new tires soon... but hey it's 400 bucks...
