Ive had one taken alot of **** for it sometimes but its still on my car, the best part was when a kid actually thought my car was a skyline and then proceeded to tell me why it was a skyline ......... the funniest reason was

" see another way i know its a skyline is because of the wheel gap for 4WD "

I have a GT-R badge on my car and have had the same thing happen with someone thinking my car was a skyline, i just drove away laughing my *** off, i didn't even want an explanation from him. i'm gettting a couple more too, were is the cheapest to get one.

 

i got mine at pep boys for
$12...but it is plastic... i want the metal one, but they are like $30+...

 

I got two of them so I get 10hp, one on the front in the grill and one on the back right below the key for the trunk.

 

and I like them alot...one on my trunk.......yeah it's "ricey" buy it LOOKS COOL!!!!!!!!

 

There was a car show in town and some kid had GT-R on his sentra... I walked up to the kid and asked him how the AWD system works and if he likes the turbo setup. I totally played it off like I thought it was a Skyline and walking away laughing my *** off. I'm thinking others do the same thing i do. Cause, if I ever see a maxima with a GT-R badge on it...i'm gonna be a jerk and help him in his little psuedo persuit in making his max/sentra/nissan into a skyline. It's poseresque. .shrugs. just my 0.02$

Oh, i DON'T have a gt-r badge on my max cause, well, it isn't a GT-R nor was there EVER a GT-R max.

I hate when people call stuff rice that doesn't deserve to be called rice. Like having rims or a bodykit. But sometimes you'll run across somethign that is totally ricey.
I just imagine what kinda crap I'd get if I put "supra twin turbo" on the back of my car. ahahahh
I got no idea why you guys put those badges on your cars.

Hey I have the GTR and NissanGTRPower badges. I see nothing wrong by having this on the Max. Ok it's on the Skyliner, so what! Why do the sell these badges, to put more on your Skyliner? I may not drive a Skyliner but I drive a Nissan and proud of having the GTR on my sedan. Representing baby!!!

 

I had one too but it's no longer on. I sure did take some heat for it though.

it is a personal preference... that is all to be said...

i have one and i will probably never take it off..

I have two of them on my car and I just think that it makes the car look a little better. I did however copy the Skyline and put the one on the back of my car right below the key hole for the truck. I think that it looks cool like that with my shaved emblems. I get alot of people ask me what kind of car I have since they don't see a Nissan Hamburger logo on it, if they know it is a Maxima they think that it is some special model./ I was at the Ferrari Challenge on Saturday and this guy asked me when Nissan made a GTR 4 door, I told him what it was and he complemented my creativity, and my car (and this guy had a Ferrari, that's why I love my Maxima, guys with Ferraris think it is a really nice car.)

 

But this weekend I did see a Bulitt edition Mustang GT with GT-R badges. He took out the the horse in the grille and put one there, then removed the 'GT' from the front fenders and put some there. What an idiot...

Well I think if you put a GTR on any car other than an Nissan then you are an idiot. It's like saying let me put TypeR on my Nissan. It's stupid!!! And as for putting a TypeR badge on a civic. I believe thats dumb also it's like putting a GTR on an Infiniti. GTR maybe on the Skyliner but it is really representing NISSAN, not Mustang's, Civic's, Infiniti's, etc....Thats how I see it! :redbounce

But for the dude that said putting GTR badges on a Infiniti is stupid.... I wouldn't speak so soon. You might be just seeing just that in 2003, when the new skylines come to the us, badged as infiniti.

 

Nismo, the Bullitt edition is a GT! The Bullitt edition is tuned up to 290hp from the normal 260. I said he took the 'GT' badges off...

Fine, he isn't an idiot. I just don't see the point of doing something like that. Why on a domestic, for crying out loud? He's pretty much ruined a perfectly good 'Stang. The Bullitt would be the only version of the Mustang I'd get, too.

my view on it is if you think putting a type-r sticker on a honda is stupid then why would you put a gtr sticker on your nissan?
i wouldn't put one on my car because my car isn't fast enough to represent the skyline like that...

I mean you can buy these badges anywhere whats the purpose of selling these if theres no Skyliners on the streets? I dont see Skyliners on the streets but I do see Nissans. You're just hypocritical, ignorant, or both. You said it was stupid to put a type R badge on a Civic, but it's ok to put a GTR badge on a Maxima? At least there really is a Type R Civic. Not in the US, but in Japan. And I do think it's stupid to put a Type R badge on a Civic, or Accord, etc. But at least there really are Type R models of those cars. There never has been, and probably never will be a GTR Maxima. Maybe you should research these things before making stupid comments. Personally, I don't like the look of the GTR badges, but if people want them, fine. Just don't go thinking that driving a Maxima somehow makes you special and that it allows you to do things the Honda guys can't. As for representing Nissan, what would Nissan rather see a GTR badge on, a Skyline that runs low 13's, or a Maxima? If I drove a Skyline, I would find it embarassing to see Maximas and Altimas w/ GTR badges. One of my friends used to drive an M3, and he hated it when he saw fake M3 badges on 318's, etc. It dilutes the uniqueness of the real thing. Who knows, there are probably people rolling around thinking they smoked a 4 dr. Skyline when all they beat was a 16 sec. riced out Maxima.
