Another totalled max thread...

Yeap it's true my max is destroyed. This happened a week and a half ago, but this past friday I learned it was gonna be totalled. I was coming home from work on thursday March 17th, it was raining mad crazy and I had just gotten onto the interstate, about a mile down the road I feel my steering wheel start to shake and all of a sudden I lose control. I start doing 360's like crazy (3 of them to be exact). I slammed into the retaining wall on the last 360 going about 45 mph and come to a stop in the middle of I-95. I get out and see what damage there was and I cracked both my passenger side rims and the rear passenger side fender was smashed in. Thought it would be an easy fix, but guess not. I'll have pictures up by tuesday. Now the good news, imma take delivery of a brand new '05 Subaru WRX on thursday. Well I guess this is farewell, thank you maxima.org for all the help.

What gave rise to you losing control of the Maxima?

Guess I forgot to mention, I came out without a scratch. And my WRX is just the Impreza WRX. The STI is already nice like that, which means I cant mess with it, but with the Impreza theres plenty of modifying to do.

As for what caused me to lose control, which im not sure, but im guessing it was probably the nasty rain plus my semi bald tires and 2 days beofre I used tire shine on my tires, which I guess is the reason why I lost control. What's really ironic is I have a brand new set of 245/35/19 Nitto's sitting in my garage that I got the day before the accident.

BTW i'll be selling some stuff. Right now I've got a warpspeed y-pipe brand new inbox, never installed. Still contemplating on selling the Nitto's and much more when I strip my car tomorrow before insurance takes it. PM me for any questions.
