Pictures of my accident
Well... it's the moment you all have been waiting for. I finally got my pics scanned of my car accident. In case you forgot what happened or this is your first time hearing about it.. click here. My maxima didn't have much visible damage. In fact, the entire passenger side and rear of the car looks untouched. A few mechanics gave me an estimate on the damages... atleast $5000 worth plus another $2000 in tranny damage. Here are the pics....click on the pic to see a larger size.
This is a pic of my max in my parent's driveway. I was installing half of my polished intake manifold. My brother's White 2K SE is parked right behind my max. This picture was taken 3 days before my accident.

The accident.... My car is facing the wrong way. I turned my high beams on so no one would hit my car. You can also see my Mercedes Benz single wiper conversion.

The Tow truck pulling my car onto the bed. Those guys are idiots.. They caused more damage to my car!

See all the traffic on the other side of the road? They were going slow because they were staring. It was raining pretty heavily too. I got soaking wet. My camera got water in it and broke. I'm lucky these pics came out.

Sorry this pic isn't that great. You can see the police car behind the tow truck.

Ouch. Is the car totalled?
My wife's 92 626 had the rear axle snapped off. My guess is that our body shop estimated low to keep the insurance company from totalling it (no money for the body shop if they do) and then suddenly 'found' more things that needed to be fixed. The car wasn't quite the same afterwards and we traded it in on my '95SE in '97.

Close.... it's on route 12 right by the 5th Street highway exit. BTW, I think I saw your max at Eisenhower Nissan last night. My Pearl White 90 SE is there too.

Yea, my car is up there. I jammed my gears up last Thursday, and my shifter was stuck in Reverse. They had to take the tranny out to fix the problem. That's the 2nd time they had to take my tranny out! Sorry to see your car looking like that. I really like the blue color. Are you going to use all of the functional parts from your old car on the new one? I dig the wheels that you have.

Re: The pic......
Not sure on parting it out... I still have to wait for the Junkyard guys to look at the car. They will tell me if I'm allowed to take parts off or not.

Oh man, that sucks about your tranny. What happened to your tranny before since you said this was the 2nd time they took it out? I really liked the color of my max too.. it was pretty rare (it's slightly different then original nissan light blue color). I will try to use all of my aftermarket parts that aren't damaged in my new car except for the engine internal mods, exhaust, interior mods, suspension mods, and brakes. Thanks for you compliments about the wheels.

Well insurance didn't cover any of the damage so I got nothing from them. I paid $2000 down for the 90 SE 5-spd and now I'm paying $150 a month for 2 years.

Those Ford Explorers were sent here by the Devil!!!
I got side swiped by one the second week I had my car. The ******* just drove off, obviously drunk! My insurance covered me, but in the process, took $500 from me to pay the deductable! Total damage was around $2500. I hate those things! They're always flipping and hitting **** then just driving away! I'm gonna go out and kill a Ford Explorer for you today man! Peace!
The first time the tranny was out they had to replace some bearings on the Input Shaft, along with a few other little parts. They were worn out and needed to be replaced. I guess it was all of the downshifting I did without matching the revs! They've done a lot of work($$$) on my car. I do all of the easy stuff but tranny work isn't that easy to do. Maybe it's time to learn how to take one apart and fix it myself!
They also replace the wheel hub on my front wheel. I bent it when I slid off of the highway on an exit ramp. If you ever drive to the end of The Road To Nowhere, take it easy on the ramp that connects you to 222. It's the long sweeping turn. I took it too fast when the ground was damp and my back end just kicked out. I slid sideways for about 50 yards through the snow!
I looked for your car on Monday but didn't see it.

Wow, looks like everyone is getting railed by them huh? Sorry about your car Skymax, after i saw those pictures i got sick to my stomach. I got hit by a red 2 door ford explorer too when i was driving my 92 Maxima. (back in the past summer) Thank god it wasnt my 99 Max! I would of gotten out and make sure the idiot who hit me was WASNT ok. Guess what, it was a ***** driver too. (No offense to any ladies on the board) She caved in my whole trunk and i went through the intersection and got clipped on the front driver side. Oh well, **** happens huh?
