I have new brake pads, when I put them in I will need new shims because the ones I have now are rusted through

Try one of these:
http://www.brownandbrowntempe.com/parts_form.cgi
http://www.nissanautoparts.com/
http://www.courtesyparts.com/

You know you can pick up some shims at any parts store. I got some from Advance auto.

Just email them and tell them what year your max is, they'll know what you are looking for and can even tell you the part #. All those websites are really good about responding quickly.
Thanks.

OEM Shim Kits

Give Xtreme Nissan a call, 504-243-7373 ask for Tracy. Mention that you're from the Maxima board and they'll give you 25% off. The shim kits they sent me cost $33 (front and rear)+shipping.. much cheaper than Courtesy and most Nissan dealers.
Good luck
