For you car paint experts...

My car was vandalized a few weeks ago and its now in the shop. I decided i wanted to try black with a stage 2 blue pearl to it. I'm awaiting a test panel but want to know how this may come out. If anyone had experience with any pearl included into their paint job, your feedback would be great.

Its the 2nd time im getting it repainted. The scratches they left on my car are so deep where i cannot refinish the paint. I would really like to repaint it the same color, but im thinking to go black so i wont stand out as much.

how so? hard to keep clean? i know black is plain, but im thinking a stage 2 blue pearl would look nice. (Shines a hint of blue at certain angles)

other than being difficult to keep clean, and it doesn't stay clean long...when it is clean; chip marks become very visable....also summer heat where i live is no picnic

although if you can do with black what you did with your deep blue i am very excited to see the results

Black looks great when its clean, but scratches are easier to see then other colors. Your current color looks awesome!

Its a small shop owned by a few Infinity bodyshop guys. They work a few hours a day and own a small garage. They take more time than usually, but the result on my buddy's prelude was phenominal and had great detail.

If I were in you shoes, I’d go a deeper blue with a whole lot of metallic.

Then I’d refer to it as: “Cars like it = 0”

I had my car repainted and I went with with a base of blue then pearl and clear with a little bit of pearl mixed into the clear. I love the color in the sun because when you look from an angle you can see the color change in the waves on the car. If it is in the dark it just looks dark blue. I tried to catch the pearl in the sunlight but nothing makes the car look as good as in person.
