How many Maximas have you owned?
Hey, I'm just curious how many of you have been loyal to the Maxima name and have owned more than one of these fine machines! Make sure to list the year and trim level too.
I've had two (so far!):
Current Maxima: 1999 Pearl White Maxima ES
Previous Maxima: 1998 Sage Mist Maxima GLE

Two:
1992 VE 5-speed (Pebble Beige with black leather)
1992 VE 5-speed (Aztec Red with black leather) current car
I have also convinced several people to buy Maximas and Nissans, as well. My step-mom bought a 4th gen when they were new because she liked my first one so much.

1990 Charcoal Maxima Auto 170,000+ on origional auto tranny (I loved that color for some reason and wish my current car was made in that color).
1996 Black Maxima 5-speed. 134,000 and still driving it

First one, but certainly not last...unless they keep getting bigger and uglier. Then I may have to look into an Infiniti or (gasp) Altima and it's derivatives.
My girlfriend convinced me to look into a Max because she owned a 2nd gen. I originally was turned off by the rear suspension, torque steer, and fuel mileage before I even sat in one, but my first test drive sealed the deal. We both love it, but now she regrets me getting it because I occasionally get random young women coming up to me and telling me how sexy the car is (2002 dark gray SE with black interior and fully loaded except nav). Now she wants me to sell my Max to her and have me drive a minivan. LOL.

My '99 is my first Maxima, and the first one in my family in fact. I had driven a friend's 3rd gen 5 speed quite a bit before I bought my car and it convinced me to look into them when I was car shopping.
My girlfriend's parents are now looking at picking up a 5th gen since they love my car. It would be a nice upgrade from their current Saturn.

I've had one that was purchased new: 1998 SE 5-spd, all options, Artic White. It will definitely be the last Maxima as I prefer to move up, not laterally, and heck, I've had this one 7 years and plan on keeping it another 14 mos. or so. Shouldn't be any problem as it's at 106k. I don't want to spend another 8 years with a Maxima, I'll be in my late 20's if I do that. yes, I've been driving since I was 14.
