Alright, I have enough money to do one or the other right now, but not both. New 17's with tires is going to cost me about $900. The NOS on sale at Jcwhittney will set me back the cost of the kit plus install, I'm figuring around $5-600. I have stock wheels which really suck, but they have plenty of tread left. I don't want to let the Jcwhittney deal pass by either though. What would you do? Honest opinions wanted. Thanks in advance.

Wheels would be the safer route!

I would go with NOS, most performance for your buck...Wait till you need new tires to get the rims also....

The NOS will take that tread on your stock tires off real quick.

How do you figure? you usually burn rubber starting from a low RPM.. any idiot who spray's NOS at a low RPM will have a new engine problem.. not a tire tread wear problem

I just meant that his overall driving mannerism on the juice may cause him to drive more aggressively and like De Max said he should just wait until he needs new tires before getting new wheels.

unless you race a lot and lose, then get nos. otherwise, get rims so you can look a little different then the rest of the max s on the road.

Hey SprintMax, what wire on the ECU do you hook the purple wire to? This has been kicking my a$$, and I'm still waiting on my Haynes. Thanks.
