BBK Completed **PICS**

Specs are as follows:

12.6" slotted iRotors
300zx 30mm aluminum calipers
BlehmCo Brackets and Hardware
z32->Maxima SS Brake lines
Axxis/PBR Ultimate Ceramic Pads

Rear is stock slotted iRotors and same pads as front.

This setup is in preparation for my engine swap, and for some added brake power because the last shop I had do my brakes completely f'ed everything up in my brake system. They installed the pads wrong, didn't install new shims, pins, etc. and DIDN'T BLEED THE BRAKES! This is the exact reason I try to do all my car work myself.

And yes, I put the front slotting so that they go a different direction than the rears, I will fix this tomorrow. This was completely an accident that my stupid *** didn't see.

More pics in 2nd post.

Looks great. Will they fit under the 01 SE 17's? And what was the total cost. I would love to do this if they will fit under stock wheels.

It wasn't super bad. I had no problems with the bolts, and have NEVER touched any kind of brakes in my entire life. The right rear caliper was stubborn, but besides that, and the fact that I need wheel spacers, everything is flawless.

NO idea whatsoever, but I could tell that they're heavier now that they're on the car.

No. They barely didn't fit under my EVO's. I needed spacers. Total cost will vary from person to person, but here's the breakdown:

Rotors =179 shipped
Calipers=250 shipped (some may think I got ripped off, but they were in excellent shape)
Mounting kit=210 shipped from www.mattblehm.com
Pads=59 shipped for mine

That all totals about 700 bucks. Is it cheaper than a big brake kit of comparable features? You betcha...Is it worth it overall? Definitely.

You might want to look up that word in the dictionary, and re-think your use of it.

Wow - I hope you cleaned off the rotor surface before your first test drive. Looks like a ton of grease on there.

Not super soft, but you know when the car bites. There is more pedal travel though.

Yes sir. My mechanic gloves were soaked in brake fluid by the time I was done.

Great Job Goaliekeg Looks Good.
BTW I noticed it tlooks like your spokes are scraping the Cal. Is it cause you were test fiting them? Cause I sure did, I had to repaint them and also when i bled the brakes some of the brake fluid driped and eat away some of the paint on the back side and I notice your backsisde paint is also coming off..

That was actually some grind work that I did to the outside of the caliper for the time being...and on the backside, yes, just as you said. Brake fluid kept coming out of that damn hole....

As soon as the wheel spacers are on, I'm going to repaint the front of them, and the back. Stopping power is amazing don't you think?

It's nice to see more people taking care of the brakes, an aspect very often neglected when modding the car. Even if it's not a hardcore brake upgrade, anything is better than stock.

Man that looks fantastic. How long did it take you to install? I can't wait to get mine either.

Goalie,
What's the offset on your wheels and what size spacers did you get? I would've though those MM's would've cleared the z32 calipers. By my measurements they should just fit.

It took a few days of free time to do this due to the fact that the last place that did my brakes severely screwed them up.

By my measurements, they should've cleared, but they didn't. All that is needed is 5mm spacers with my MM's.
