Would anyone be interested in the following....
Carbon Fiber Front "DTM" Splitters.

at UCLA... i have about 400+ feet of carbon fiber left over from the Human Powered Vehicles project that i can use to make some stuff,
if anyone would be interested in it, just let me know,
and i can go about making a few dozen or so ..
mainly it's just "foh sho" but maybe at speeds of over 130, it would help slightly in the downforce of the car..
pricing would strictly be labor (paying for my time) and realistically you can get a set of these "canards" in real carbon fiber with mounting brackets for like $50 or something.
any takers?
i'm also going to be making myself a carbon fiber touring wing, with adjustable aluminum brackets..
if any you all like that idea, just shoot the breeze over to my hotmail account, and we'll see what i can do within the next few weeks,
oh well. just a couple of ideas...

Hmm...custom DTM splitter by Cheston. I'm up for it. So are you saying it's going to be like $50ish? Anyway, I was going to make one out of 1/8" aluminum. I'll take carbon fiber over aluminum anyday =)
cool,
i'll start with a prototype this week then.
heheh
prolly be 3 to 4 layers of CF thick,
or 2 layer with foam center for stiffness..
as for attaching it to the underside of the car....
i need to find hard points to drill into..
as for the wing. that will take a while. but. heck. it'll be fun!
epoxy! woo!

Chebosto, how about this: carbon fiber spark plug cover?? I think it would look alot better than just painting it. Im talking the whole thing letters included or maybe just a solid carbon fiber cover with no lettering, smooth surface.
