Anyone else buy the ColdHeat Soldering Tool?

I just received mine and it doesn't seem to do the job soldering on the resistors and LED's together. =(

I tried it and it was pure garbage. I went and returned it as soon as I could and got a regular one. It made things a lot easier.

Yea that thing is a total piece of **** !!!

The soldering tip keeps on falling out and doesn't even heat up, but once it does, which almost never happens, it doesn't seem to be very cold when u turn it off, i freaking burned my finger w/ it... that thing sucks !

You cannot use standard solder, it has to be very very thin in order for it to heat up enough. The instructions tell what diamater to use.
Total crap!!!

My friend that works at Radio Shack brought it over to see how it works and it was a piece of ****. Stay away from it and get a regular soldering iron.

I invented the Cold heat soldering Tool. I stand behind my product. If it doesn't work, we at Cold Heat inc. will replace it for free.

I hear most people have troubles with the tips, that they are brittle or something and just dont last long at all.

works fine for me, although I solder the way I was taught in my electronics courses, at least, they told me it was the proper way...

I hear you can get ColdHeat and Fast Abs (the device that shocks your stomach to "give you abs!") in a package.

My boss bought one for us to use at work. Total crap. I always use .022 silver solder anyways so that wasn't a problem. It took me forever to get anything done with the thing and the tip broke trying to solder two 22awg wires together which were free floating.

The GF grill is a vise investment. Definately on the opposite side of the scale here.
