need advise on body work (rear quater panel damage)

some a hole smashed into me today on a bridge right into the driver rear quater panel...yes the worst place to get hit. as you know its one huge pice connected to the roof and bottom of the car. i dont understand how it can be fixed w/o practicall rebuilding half the car???

any advise on how to get it done the regular way, just pulling the dents out or does the whole thing need replacement???

and anyone by chance know of a good shop near staten island ny?? thanx a lot guys!

with alot of bondo and primer and patience. i fixed mine mylf so i have no clue how much a body shop will charge but it is a pain. here is a pic of it when i was about half way done. i dont have a finished pic but i was able to make it look like new. i can take one if you want. i also sahved the antenna as well.

here is a pic of the dent before the body work

'

during body work

as you can see in the pic before the body work that the dent is huge and it actually is 2 dents. als othe shop will have to paint the whole quarter panel as well.

I hope you pulled the dent out and straightened the pannel before you smeared all that plastic on it.

It appears the accident wasn't your fault. Just get the claim settled and go to a reputable body shop and get it fixed properly.

i knew what i was doing and most of that bondo was sanded down and primired. and i was saying if you look at the before pic, there are 2 dents instead of one so that is why i had to bondo the lower part of the quarte and the top part.

finished pic.
