I really love the way these look, anyone have them? I have found them for only 129 dollars each (516), new. THen ill need tires. So is there anything bad about these rims? I just love them, but i dont want them to break or somthing. Any one have experience with them, good or bad? I dont have a ton of cash to get the racing harts or anything like that, so this is my best bet. Let me know,
Ill only use them during the summer.
Also what kind of tires should i get for them? Some that are good in the summer, and are rated to at least 120.

This is the link for the 129 dollar C5s:
http://www.ec-securehost.com/OnlineT...Concept_5.html

I know the first number there is the size, 17 in, but whats the rest mean?
is it just the offset. It says 17 x 7.0 4-100/114.3 40sil All the silver 17in ones are the same price, so
do different cars need different ones to fit, but the rest is the same? I know nothing about this!

Also, any other sites out there that i should check for a better price?

Thanks!

hmm

katana C5s are supposed to be the knockoffs for Racing Hart I think, they look pretty much identical, i don't know exact differences but they are the same style.
All I can say is that the Katanas proably pretty heavy.. However 129 per rim is very cheap. About a good summer tire, everyone always brags about how good of a deal Kumho Ecsta 712s are.. This is an ultra high performance tire and it's rated very very good for wet and dry grip, The 17" tire should be around 100 bucks each, which is also one of the cheapest decent brand 17" tires u can get.. But they perform like a way more expensive tire.. just go to tirerack.com and see the ratings,

I like the C5s though, very nice design

I was looking for rims myself and like that style. But I was looking at G Racing (Giovanna) Kyoto. After hammering the dealers for price I found out that Giovanna is splitting into Giovanna, who will handle the high end stuff like chrome and 2-3 piece wheels and Katana will carry the low end stuff. That is the store as far as I know. I have seen some site advertising 17" w/tire for under $1k. This weekend I'm going to put them on and see who it looks. I'll let you know.

I just got Kuhmo 712's and they are SWEET. Haven't had a chance to try them out in the rain, but I've heard a lot of good things about them wet wise. I got mine at Discount tires, and I got the guy to drop the price to $80, which is just a few dollars more than tirerack, but he dropped price on the install and warranty too. Go in there and act all interested, then say, "Well, maybe next week, unless we can strike some sort of deal" Worked for me at least. Good luck.

Katana C5

I decide on the Katana C5. I think it looks pretty good. I think if your not into the hasle of chrome especially in the north this is the next best thing. With the machined lip is can of looks like chrome from a far or while it is moving. Let me know what you think.
