I am having a delema here. I want to get a window switch but i was thinking, cant i just buy the NOS button and replace the throttle switch? The NOS button would just eliminate the need for a throttle switch and a window switch. I mean i can floor it and just push the button on and off at the desired rpms rather then have a chip do it. WHat do you guys think?

Your reflexes arent as quick as you think.

I have all three devices. They all play important roles. Used in conjunction with each other they make for fool proof system activation. Window switch, full throttle switch , FPSS and push button activation switch (instead of the rocker switch).

You can get an inexpensive, ~35$ window switch from Harlen on thre LS1 site, I'll get the link for you. I have on and it works just fine. He also make one with a built in shift light.

THanks Mardi, any additional help would be great. $35 is cheap for a window switch vs teh $80 MSD and $175 NOS one.

I have the throttle switch and FPSS. I wanted a cheap way out of having to buy a window switch by using a button activation switch.

with a window switch it'll "push the button" for you at *exactly* the rpm you set it to. there's no delay or compensating for reaction time involved. you won't mess up and miss the button or drop it while you're racing. even if you wanted to do a button, i'd do it like matt. full throttle switch, button, and window switch all together.

The guy who makes them by hand, Harlan, is backed up on his orders like 30 days. He has stopped taking orders for a wile. His site is at http://harlan.sketchy.net/ It isnt working now? But you can find him on www.ls1.com , his name is Y2KHawk.

I recognize the standard blue NOS switch but what are the others????

Looks nice, I am thinking about placing all buttons/switches on the lower right of the gauge console. There seems to be a vacant place next to the console dimmer.

Re: Buttons

From left to right, purge button, bottle warmer, remote bottle opener and lastly the system arm switch.

I have two LED mounted at the location you were talking about. Green LED for the bottle warmer and Red LED for the system armed.
