Cleaning The Engine Bay

Anyone have some tips on the bestway to go about cleaning the engine(i.e. what things need to be covered up) i heard oven cleaner works real well or should i just go to a car wash and use the high pressure hose?

i have always stay away from the high pressure stuff. i just get a can of engine degreaser, cover up the whole airbox, alternator and battery with plastic bags. spray it and let it sit for 10 mins. then just hose it off.

You can also get your engine steam cleaned by someone professionally... I had it done in my 300 and it looks sick
