Hey guys, I was about to order some stuff from courtesy nissan--the usual tuneup stuff...spark plugs, filter, etc. I was just wondering--do we get 20% off the listed price of what is on the internet listing? or 20% off what their listed price is on the phone. The reason for this is I called yesterday and they told me that the prices are a bit higher if I did it over the phone. But when I signed up, I couldn't get the automated checkout to deduct the 20% from the total cost of the items--if anyone has any pointers or experiences in ordering from them, I'd appreciate your help.

thanks you =)

You get 20% off of list price. The list price is the "MSRP" that the dealer sells parts and accessories for. Plus, everyone who deals over the phone with Courtesy gets the discount, not just Maxima.org people.

the listed price

Well, that is the question really because the listed price on the internet is different from what they provide as a listed price when you call in.

example: listed price for spark plug is $9.35 on the internet.
Price quoted over the phone with 20% discount is $9.46.

So there is a discrepancy (not only with these plugs)--b/c if you take a look atthe 9.35 listed, you can get 20% off that...and a plug would be about $7 and change.
that is really waht I am trying to clear up.

thanks guys.

Forget Courtesy, go carparts.com ->

Use the 33% off coupon for 6 NGK platinum plugs, coupon code #1963005. Simply do a part search for PFR5G11, which is the NGK part number for the VQ spark plugs.

For me, it was $52 delivered to my door here in TN after the 33% off coupon. I believe that works out to $8.50 a plug.

This is a much better deal.

I really haven't appreciated Courtesy's 5% reduction in the discount AND the increase in shipping for their products in order to pay for their online parts store website, so now I think carparts.com will get as much of my business as possible.....until THEY screw up.

Anyway, enjoy the deal.

Stay away from carparts.com

You must be the only individual who has received an order from carparts.com. I have heard the worst stoies about them.. Just ask Cheston. I ordered the factory fog lamps from Courtesy over the phone. I think I paid about 160 for them. Their website has them for 187.00. I still think that they have better prices than other nissan dealerships.

Hey Nick did you try Crest Nissan in Woburn?

You should call them up at 781-935-1111 Crest Nissan in Woburn, MA and check out their prices. Tell them you belong to the Maxima or Se-r club and get like 20% off. I go there all the time for parts since it is local for us MA members. Ask for Bob Smith if you need more infos. He is the Parts Manager over there. Tell him Ken from the Maxima Club sent you. Hopefully this will help some of the Northeast guys out.

Ken

I understand where your coming from, but

carparts.com has improved dramatically just in the past couple of months....

I have received everything I have ordered (several orders) from them with no probs.

I even returned something and got shipping credited back in addition to the part cost.

As long as you know what you want, and use all of their online stuff for correspondence, and be patient, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Of course, when it comes to Nissan-specific stuff (fog lights, etc.) then a Nissan dealer gets a call from me.

Personally I haven't had a problem with carparts.com, I bought a fender off their online junkyard for my Altima when some jerk backed into me... it matched perfect, took two days to get. I also ordered my KYB struts and all the parts that go with it... took 2 days to get. IMO, they are one of the better online car parts store. I may get screwed in the future since there seem to be a lot of complaints from them but until then I'll continue taking advantage of those 33% off coupons.

Re: Hey Nick did you try Crest Nissan in Woburn?

Thanks for the info Ken. I usually order my parts from Courtesy, but next time I'll give them a try. I also go to Frost Nissan in Newton. One of the service guys (Rueben) there is always very helpful.

when I ordered the wire harness. Good luck with Courtesy they are really screwing up now. It used to be all my orders were correct and on time. Now everytime I order there is at least one item wrong or missing but at least they are still alot cheaper then the local dealers.

good luck with courtesy

i used to go there all the time during the summer when i was in dallas.

when i went back like a weekend ago they are totally messing up.

if they don't have it in stock, or if they don't know about it
they tell you they don't make it...
or it doesn't exist.
i got pissed off at them.

i usually use racing soul in plano
they have a website where you can order now.
its http://www.racingsoul.com
they don't have much nissan stuff on their website.
but if you call them and tell them what you need
they can be a big help.
cheap prices too...
