The 3rd gen maximas make for a good sleep. That is, if you have some decent padding (say, a blanket or something).

I tried to sleep twice in my car. Once I was with my grilfriend and she wouldn't let me recently I was alone and had to so I found the most bizzare position ever.

I left the driver seat up, and layed the passenger seat all the way down. Then I layed down on the rear seat (behind driver seat) and put my legs on the passenger seat, it was surprisingly comfy. I had a blanket used as a sort of pillow. Then the sun began shining a little after 4 P.M and never got any more sleep. I'm 5'11" so not really short.

Do all Maxima's come equipped standard with beds(driver seat flush with backseat), or only the 3rd gens?

Still, folding down the back seats in the Durango beats pretty much everything. Esp when there is a futon matress back there.

I've slept in the max before, once I was locked out of my house, and well non of my friends where home, so I decided to sleep in the max, reclining the passanger seat all the way back, and sliding it all the way back is comfortable at least. I'm 5'9 so I guess its good enough, whats sucks thou, is down here there is alot of humidity, so around 7:00am or soo your sweatin your ***** off... also I've taken power naps, and "I'm to lazy to get out of the car to go to class" naps, all which have been great... but you do get a sore neck.. or and you need the a/c on if your down here in the tx heat.

after reading this ingenious thread, I found it works for my 04 too. but it seems from dash to rear seat back is shy 6' b/c i had to bend my knees still. And even w/ the head rest out, it was a tight fit reclining all the way. Maybe the pass side will do a lil better w/o the wheel in the way. Then you can leave your bed down while driving!

My mid armrest sits way too high so i'm confined to one side. I always keep a blanket in the car... now it can be a pillow too!

I considered the halfway trunk idea, but it slopes too much and like said i'm sure the midway strip would be a pitb(ack).

I've slept in 3 nissans 2003 Pathfinder. Maxima 4th gen. and Maxima 5th gen. The only thing i want to say that 4th gen max seat are more comfortable to sleep on rather than Pathfinder or 5th gen max cause 4th gen max seats are more flat. Lol I'm an expert in spending nights inn maximas.

Of course my response was a joke, but it's very possible to post from the car now! Yesterday we were in downtown Philly and decided to see Batman Begins. No joke, I said let's go back to the car and see where it's playing and what time. Opened up the trunk, booted the laptop, popped-in the Verizon EVDO card, and made a decision. It's no big deal today, but imagine that only 3 years ago that would have been nearly impossible. Sometimes it makes me wonder what we'll be capable of 5 years from now.....

Looks like you have alot more to learn.

Open the news paper once in a while or something.

I'm renting a 3 bedroom apartment in Bensonhurst for $950. Awesome neighborhood, apartment is in mint condition, new kitchen... shyt is nice.

You can easily find a room for $300, not one bedroom, but a room.

I've slept in mine a few times, mainly b/c of long drives making me fall asleep. I'm 5'5", though, so it wasn't too bad in the driver's seat. The most annoying thing for me is the headrests. They're designed for crashes, not comfort, so they my head tilt the wrong way. Still though, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do...

Never slept, but i have cuddled.................. its not so bad............ leather seats feel nice when your driving, aside from some slipping, but they make sleeping super difficult.

Did you forget to mention the landlord is your father? Or is it just under rent stabilization? Do yourself a favor and open up a newspaper now in the 21st century.

I have gone out drinking and have woken up in the max an uncountable # of times! In the winter, in the summer. I have slept in the max with other people. I have found the best to be the front driver seat only because that is where I pass out most of the time when I don't remember what happened. I have been freezing my a$$ off in pittsburgh in the snow on my way back to va but to drunk to continue so I have pulled over in random parking lots and left the max running for a few hours at a time. Oh the stories can go on and on.. I really do love this stupid machine. I wish I could have a car for transportation reasons instead of obsession

My maxima is one of the most unconfortable cars i've ever been.

i can't seem to drive more than 2 hours straight, as my a$$ hurts like crazy on my car.

Now as for sleep, forget it! i tried that last time, couldn't find a single confy position, had to shell out $90 for a motel.

i tried to get laid in the back seat with my girl, i was so pissed the back has so little space, i even moved both front seats all the way to the front, still couldn't find a good position to get my business going, had to resort to a BJ and some blue ballz.

My oldsmobile 88 was the most confortable ride ever! couch on wheels!

Once I was having sex in the back of my car, and we were in the back seat and fell asleep. It was very nice back there.

had to do it once. was out at a party being a stupid teenager and got home at 1, locked out and i have a 2 year old bro so i figure no point waking him up and pissing my parents off MORE, so i dropped the drivers seatback and slept like that for about 4 hours, woke up and it was 55 degrees so i broke into my garage, grabbed a blanket i found in the corner, and went back to the max. overall a good night. didnt find it TOO uncomfortable besides for the cold. insulation in our cars sucks ba11s
