ok, all I hear on this forum is you people trying to increase your car by 1-5hp by getting another muffler or putting cold air intake, (maxima.org stickers ) and then put tones of sound equipment in the back, thus making it heavier or pile up $hit in the car and making it heavier again.

well, I have the BEST mod for you, it's CHEAP too

LOOSE SOME FREAGING WEIGHT

I will guarantee, that if you LOOSE WEIGHT, you will gain the hp that you need. try it, loose 10-15 lbs, I'm sure at least 1/2 of you people need it and gain 1-5 hp

ENJOY

p.s. I'm going to get hate mail for this

It's true though. Some of these people who mod have 80lb systems in their trunks.

i think he meant the people should loose weight..

and so what if i have a 150 lb system in my car.. you know .. not all of us race every day... it would rather have good music than have my car light and loud because some guy in a civic might try to race me

You know you don't need 150lb of system in the trunk to have good music. A nice JL 10W6 in a right box and a RF punch 360A2 will give enough bass for good music. Total 40lbs at the most

I was saying weight, but I meant both

I meant both, and if you don't mod for extra 1hp then you're not the person I'm talking about, I'm talking about people who do have 150lbs systems and try to mod an for an extra 1 hp

No wonder my Max is going so slow. Ever since I got married, I've really "grown" as a person. Better get back on the treadmill.

What is the ideal weight for a person driving a Maxima?

Is there a special diet for Maxima drivers?

Did anyone read the first post closely? He said that by losing the weight you are gaining Horspower. What????? There is no power gained from weight reduction, only speed and handeling benifits.

technically you are correct, but as it was the post was long and I wanted to keep it somewhat short, the engine makes so much horsepower 190 (4 gen), the drive terrain takes away some HP, 190-(15 to 20), so we end up with E being the total hp of about 170-175 for the car, done and over with, but

if you decrease the weight, that 175 hp that we have can prople the car faster then if the car is heavier,

because ultimatly, WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT HP as long as the car can do 5.5 sec 0--60, I don't care, give me a 20 hp car and if it can do 0-60 in 5 sec, then screw all of you with 175 hp, my car is better

I have put two of my brothers in the trunk and after we got to the place we were going as a prac. joke, I left them in there and pretended we forgot to let them out. They didn't know about the internal trunk release so they are just shouting and screaming for a couple minutes. We sneak back up to the car really quietly and listen for another two minutes as they discuss how big of a jerk I am, how they are gonna get me back, etc. I quietly unlock the trunk but keep it closed as about four of us stood right behind the trunk. On a finger count we open the trunk and scream really loud. They screamed too and I was really worried that they would pee their pants from the scare. That was SOOO funny. We sat there and laughed for 5 minutes after that.

that is funny but I would be afraid of them kicking the trunk and making a dent in it
